Eboue Weeps Over His Chelsea Star Son

Date:

Ivory Coast football legend Emmanuel Eboue has expressed sadness over his estranged relationship with his son Mathis.

The former Arsenal star had in the past been engulfed in a bitter divorce with his ex-Belgian wife.

The once 2.5 million pound sterling per year earner soon went to being homeless and scraping for change for buses.

His relationship with him became estranged as he confessed he was sad that he wasn’t present at Mathis’ signing for Chelsea FC.

“I feel very sad because when he [Mathis] signed for Chelsea, I wasn’t there… I am very happy for him. I want to be closer to my son to help him,” he said in a podcast.
