Kofi Yesu, the assistant headmaster of the Accra Academy, declared that during the examination period of a child’s educational journey, parents have many roles to perform in order to help the child to gain success in the exam.

“Parents have many responsibilities to perform during examination periods of their wards,” he stated as he highlighted some various roles and duties of parents during examination periods.

He advised that during this period, parents must not shout at their wards but speak calmly to them about the things they are expected to do and things not expected to do. He urged parents to encourage their wards to study hard and also warn them about the consequences of examination malpractices.

He further mentioned that parents must constantly check the eating habits of their wards and also monitor their healthcare very well in order for their children to develop sound minds to write their exams. “It is always said that a sound mind lives in a sound body,” he said.

He finally stated that parents have big responsibilities to perform for their wards during examination.
