‎Don’t waste your salaries on your children’s education — Obeng Darko

Date:

Education is not enough to prepare your child for the future, a Renowned Financial Expert, Obeng Darko has asserted.‎

‎According to him, communing with children and building their financial mind while teaching them the right path in life is key to building a brighter future for them.

‎Darko who doubles as an Entrepreneur said this during an exclusive interview with Max Morning Show in Accra on Monday.

‎”I don’t think school is enough to prepare a child for the future. What you will say, the mental investment you will make into the child, the truth you will teach the child and opening his or her financial mind is what will propel and prepare a brighter future for the child,” he said.

‎Darko indicated that parents who did not earn much shouldn’t invest all their salaries in the education of their wards.

‎”Just find a decent school for your child. I don’t deem it wise for parents to spend 50 or 70 per cent of their salaries in the education of their children. That can corrupt the mentality of parents and turn them into thieves,” he stated.

‎Darko believed that while parents were investing into the education of their children, they should also be able to make properties which would help sustain the family and build the future lives of the kids.
