The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced that the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP), Lydia Donkor, will lead investigations into the gruesome acts at the Nana Kronamansah Park.
Following Asante Kotoko’s 1-0 away defeat to Nsoatreman FC in Nsoatre on Sunday, February 2, 2025, there were hooligan, attacks on the supporters and players of the visiting club.
These unprovoked attacks, according to Asante Kotoko, resulted in the death of one of their most famous supporters known as Nana Pooley.
The GFA has since condemned the acts in Nsoatre, assuring stakeholders of its “commitment to conduct an exhaustive investigation into the incident and take decisive action against those found culpable.”
