Highlife singer Kofi Nti has praised the late colleague Nana Kwaku Duah, known in the showbiz circles as Dada KD, for his generosity and kindheartedness.
According to him, Dada KD was the most clean-hearted musician he ever knew in Ghana.
Kofi Nti said this when he eulogised the late highlife musician during an interview with Max Morning Show in Accra on Friday.
“He is a very kind person; even if it’s inside his mouth, he would pull it out for you. He is very generous. When I heard on social media that Dada KD couldn’t put things right, I disagreed.”
“Dada KD had sympathy for humans; he can give out his last money without thinking twice about it. He is one of the clean-hearted musicians I ever knew right here in Ghana from the highlife music industry,” he stated.
Kofi Nti recalled that he had the same gig with Dada KD in the United States when the late musician complained of a mild sickness, but he had to leave on Monday for Ghana because he had a show in the UK.
However, he sadly heard of his untimely demise, which was a big blow to him and the industry.
Kofi Nti charged Ghanaians to grace Dada KD’s funeral, which is slated for September 20 at the forecourt of the statehouse.
Dada KD died on May 17, 2025, after a brief illness and has gained a state-assisted burial.
