Crime-fighting stalwart, COP Christian Tetteh Yohuno has been appointed Inspector General of Police (IGP) in accordance with Articles 91 and 202 of the 1992 Constitution, replacing Dr. George Akuffo Dampare.
His appointment has been met with approval by many on social media who deem him as equally qualified as the outgoing IGP, Dr. Dampare, appointed in July 2021 by former president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
COP Yohuno is a product of one of the most prestigious all-boys senior high schools in Ghana, then proceeded to the premier University of Ghana for his Bachelor’s degree, followed by an Executive MBA at the University of Professional Studies, formerly the Institute of Professional Studies.
He has made significant strides in his career as a law enforcement officer from 2007 to date, serving as a Divisional Commander to now Inspector General of Police.
