Former Board Chairman of the National Sports Authority (NSA), Hon. Kwadwo Baah Agyemang, has cautioned the newly appointed Director-General of the Authority, Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, against saboteurs.
The NSA is notoriously rumoured in the media circles to be filled with saboteurs, especially ones with opposing political affiliations with intentions of making it difficult for the one in charge to achieve the set objectives.
Congratulatory messages trickled in on the evening of Wednesday, March 12, 2025, when max.com.gh reported about the appointment of IMAX Media’s head of sports, Mr. Ankrah, as NSA boss.
Hon. Agyemang urged Mr. Ankrah, who is also a marketing expert, to remain level-headed and avoid failure by not listening to saboteurs at the Authority.
“From my experience, he should be careful with those he would work with there. They would approach him to report on others. I know he (Yaw) is a level-headed person. The moment he listens to such people, then he would be failing,” he said on the Sports Pack show on Max FM.
The new Director-General has been backed by fellow media practitioners to succeed in his new office.
