Could Floyd Mayweather Jr be the next boxing legend to visit Ghana?

Date:

American boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. could be the next global superstar to arrive in Ghana for the next boxing event of Legacy Rise Sports.

Legacy Sports Rise, a sports agency run by Sharaf Mahama, has, in two years, followed the shining example of IMAX Boxing Promotions in organising mind-blowing bouts.

However, Legacy Sports Rise has taken theirs a notch higher than any other boxing promotion in Ghana, considering the calibre of international stars they were able to attract.

The groundbreaking partnership between Amir Khan Promotions, run by former world champion Amir Khan, and Legacy Sports Rise saw the likes of former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua and other international icons throng Accra on June 13, 2025.

With Ghana having produced more world champions than any other country in Africa, Mayweather’s visit to the country for the next biggest boxing night under the auspices of Legacy Sports Rise must not come as a surprise.
