The Ghana Health Service, in a press briefing, has disclosed that Ghana’s coronavirus cases have risen to 1671 with 188 recoveries.
The Director-General of the Ghana Health Service, Dr Patrick Kuma-Aboagye, addressing journalists at the Ministry of Information, monitored by www.maxfmlive.com , stated that 563 of the coronavirus infections were from general surveillance.
According to Dr Kuma-Aboagye, 1,461 are well or showing “no symptoms and responding to treatment”.
Dr Kuma-Aboagye , out of the total cases, said six patients are “critically ill” with two of them at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC), three at Ga East Municipal Hospital and one at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
The Director-General, detailing the number of casualties, also disclosed that Ghana has recorded five new deaths from the disease raising the death toll to 16.
