Comoros Will Not Be Easy — Otto Addo

Date:

The head coach of the senior men’s football national team of Ghana, the Black Stars, Otto Addo, has warned meeting Comoros on Sunday will not be easy.

Ghana is just a game away from confirming a place at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, joining the likes of Algeria Morocco, Egypt, and Tunisia as Africa’s representatives.

The Black Stars are once again, set to come face to face with the familiar yet tricky opponent in Comoros. A side that had once humiliated Ghana in 2022 Africa Cup of Nations.

Despite Ghana in pole position to seal their passage to the global soccer fiesta in 2026, Otto Addo iterated the fact that Comoros’ progressive rise in African football is not by luck.

“It’s not by luck that they [Comoros] are where they are now. They have been doing really well, good work over the last years. We [Ghana] have felt it already [CAN 22 loss to Comoros] so it’s not going to be easy,” said Otto Addo at the pre-match presser on Saturday.

The whole Ghana will sent into frenzy once qualification for the fifth time at the FIFA World Cup in her football history is sealed.

The game kicks off at 7 p.m. on Sunday, October 12, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
