The women’s team of English giants Chelsea FC have defeated Manchester United 3-0 to win the 2024-25 Adobe Women’s FA Cup and complete the domestic treble.
Sonia Bompastor and her Chelsea Ladies have put the disappointing semi-final exit from the UEFA Champions League behind them to secure the League Cup, a sixth consecutive Women’s Super League, and now adding the FA Cup.
Following a stale first half, despite player-of-the-match Sandy Baltimore’s opener from the penalty spot to give Chelsea the lead going into the second half.
The Blues took a foothold of the game and added their second of the game through Catarina Macario before Baltimore sealed the win in stoppage time over Manchester United.
Bompastor was full of smiles as she fist-pumped in celebration when the full-time whistle went – her quest for treble glory emphatically complete.
