“We still don’t know the reasons behind those bombings. It’s possible that the Congressman was working with someone else.”
With Cardo taking the lead, the rest of the CIDG team storm inside and an intense shout-out begins. Joaquin the jackass hurries to overtake Cardo before he gets to Subito first and uncovers their secret. Meanwhile, Alyana arrives outside with her cameraman, hellbent on getting an exclusive scoop. She and her Pinggoy almost get shot.
Joaquin takes out Romulo while Cardo shoots his way through to the congressman. They exchange bullets before Joaquin comes to join in in the fun. Randolf rambles on some crap, right before Cardo shoots him several times. Joaquin tries to hide his delight. He later finds Clarissa hiding in one of the rooms and before he can happily end her miserable life, some other officers come upon the scene.
As Clarissa wails over her wretched husband’s death, Joaquin reports back to Tomas, who’s at home, not happy that Clarissa is still alive. Verna listens in discreetly. At Camp Frame, while Cardo and his team wander about the reason behind the bombings, Joaquin threatens Clarissa with her son’s life into keeping her mouth shut.
“We still don’t know the reasons behind those bombings,” Cardo states.
“We have his wife in custody,” Vargas says. “He’ll confess.”
“If she won’t talk, her son will,” Chikoy adds. “I’m convinced their son had something to do with this too.”
“Or it’s possible that the Congressman was working with someone else,” Cardo speculates.
Alyana covers the CIDG’s raid at Magbanua, just as Carreon and Cardo reveal to Richmond that his father is dead. Eventually, he begins to cooperate, though he doesn’t know the motive behind his father’s atrocities. His mother is then brought in to see him.
Teddy cautions his daughter to tread carefully in their line of work. He then asks about how she had gotten the tip. Soon enough, they begin talking about Cardo and Teddy counsels her to seek out a genuine friendship with him and not go chasing him with the sole reason of getting a good news item. He then brings up the police friend he used to have and helped so many times in solving cases. Turns out to be Cardo’s father, Pablo de Leon.
“Where is he now, dad?” Alyana asks.
“He was killed.”
Tomas puts up a show of cluelessness regarding the crimes of the late Congressman, and Verna plays along. Later, she has a PI tail him to his new disguised drug lab. Meanwhile, at Double E, a taxi company, some workers celebrate their boss Eric’s birthday. His elder brother, Edwin comes upon the scene, not glad to see his brother mingling with the employees.
Flora heads a cleanup community project of which the kids gladly contribute. Later at home, Onyok has a talk with Cardo about having Junior stay with them for good. Flora counsels and consoles Junior, who wishes he could stay with them on the same matter.
Alyana is commended by her boss and coworkers for risking her life and bravely covering the Magbanua shooting scene. She points out Pinggoy as a partaker in her quest and he’s congratulated as well. Once home, Alyana recounts the heartwarming moment. JP arrives and glady announces that he’s going to be a scholar.
Junior and her grandparents bid goodbye to Cardo, Flora and the rest of the family. And off to the province they go. Meanwhile, an unidentified taxi driver picks up a young woman. Sometime later, the driver pulls over at a deserted place. He then drags the woman out and angrily stabs her multiple times.
Edwin gives his brother a gift and wishes him a happy birthday. As Benny praises Alyana’s skills as a reporter while mentioning that she’s his friend, Cardo overhears him.
“If I find out that you’re the one giving info to that reporter, you’re gonna get it from me.”
Alyana heads over to the CIDG, bearing news articles of the tons of cases solved by Cardo. “He’s the guy we want,” she says to Pinggoy. “We have to start being buddies with him.”
“We can keep trying but he’ll always stay away. That guy is allergic to us.”
Alyana then recalls her dad’s wise words. Verna goes through the suspicious photos her private investigator sent her of Tomas and vows to get to the bottom of it. Cita is certain that it’s just another gimmick of her husband and father.
Edwin turns down an employee who asks for an advance payment to take his brother to the hospital. On his way out, a sympathetic Eric hands the guy some money. Big brother Edwin doesn’t look pleased as he reminds his little brother that they don’t do charity work. Meanwhile, a jogger’s dog ventures away from it’s owner and ultimately finds the dead body. The jogger comes upon the scene and runs off screaming for help.
