Max TV, the leading telenovela station in Ghana, is set to premiere the much-anticipated season five of Brothers tonight at exactly 8:00 p.m.
The series, which is shown weekly with the omnibus on Saturday evenings, season five will highlight the recovery of President Oscar Hidalgo from the induced coma caused by Lily Ann Cortez Hidalgo, his wife.
He then escapes from the palace, along with his close friends, housemaid Elizabeth and PSG members Salonga and Ambo, to warn Cardo of the evil intentions the first lady and her lackeys are scheming to execute.
Both Lily and Renato separately deploy their respective henchmen to find Oscar. To ensure her schemes continue, Lily replaces Oscar with the ignorant decoy Mariano. A new cast, Albert and the Black Ops, show up, working under the supervision of Arturo, to manhunt for Cardo and his comrades.
Failing to capture Cardo, Albert forms an alliance with Lito to work together on hunting and assassinating drug competitors. Renato plans to allow the international drug syndicate to operate in the country if he becomes president, while Lily also plans to bring Renato down for the next election.
Both two opposing wicked politicians engage in a power struggle to regain the country and put it into an era of totalitarian rule. Elsewhere in the North, Oscar makes a life-changing discovery concerning his past and the unknown daughter he gave birth to.
Meanwhile, Armando, his wife Lolita, and daughter Mara plan to kill the powerful business and political kingpin Don Ignacio Guillermo, who perpetrated the killing of farmers to claim Armando’s land.
Cardo and Agila, who are now hiding in a new abode in the north, were eventually found by the local police at Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar, leading to an ensuing shootout.
Armando and his group cross paths with Cardo during the chaos at the Hotel de Oriente and form an alliance. Lito strengthens his force to battle it out with Cardo and his group in his bid to snatch Alyana, thus resulting in the death of a key person who means a lot to Cardo.
How will Cardo and Armando’s team work together to repay Lito for the harm caused to his heart? How will Oscar claim his lost but found daughter? How will Cardo face his in-laws? How will Renato and Lily’s political tension evolve? Will Oscar be reinstated? What will happen to Cardo and Task Force Agila?
