Antoine Semenyo rose above racist taunts to bag a superb brace for Bournemouth against defending Premier League champions Liverpool.
The game began in a sombre fashion as Liverpool paid tribute to their late player, Diogo Jota, who died in a car crash in Spain with his brother Andre.
Referee Anthony Taylor had to halt the game after Ghanaian international Antoine Semenyo reported racist remarks towards him from a fan in the crowd in the 29th minute.
The game resumed four minutes later, and soon after, new signing Hugo Ekitike banged home his first league goal for the Reds in the 37th minute. Cody Gakpo doubled the lead four minutes after recess.
Black Stars winger Antoine Semenyo registered a brace within twelve minutes to bring the game level before Federico Chiesa and Mohammed Salah scored a goal each to put the tie beyond reach for Bournemouth.
