Ghanaian defender Alexander Djiku played the full match as Fenerbahçe drew 1-1 with Lille in the UEFA Champions League Qualifying Round 3 second leg.
Despite the draw, Lille advanced to the play-offs with a 3-2 aggregate win, while Fenerbahçe will move to the Europa League.
Djiku and Caglar Söyüncü were solid in defense, but Lille secured their place in the next round with Jonathan David’s penalty.
Fenerbahçe nearly equalized late, but Cenk Tosun’s shot hit the crossbar. They next face Göztepe in the Super Lig on August 17th.
