Laryea Kingston has reacted to the Ghana Football Association’s statement regarding his resignation and misconduct while being coach of the Black Starlets.
Following Ghana’s heartbreaking 1-2 defeat to Burkina Faso on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at the University of Ghana Stadium, Laryea Kingston stood down from his post as head coach.
This decision stunned Ghanaians who have actually been impressed by his team’s performances on the field, but for reasons best known to him.
The Ghana Football Association responded to this with an official statement accepting his resignation while also highlighting his misconduct after the match presser.
In a Whatsapp status post, Kingston stated, “Love you guys so much son… Capito you guys are amazing to be with, and is a privilege to be part of your education… Long live GFA.”
He expressed his admiration for Benjamin Tsivanyo, who likened the former Black Stars winger to a father figure.
