The president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku, has made a defensive move to squash rumors of having influence in player selections of the various national teams.
Kurt Okraku appeared before the Parliamentary Select Committee on Sports on Monday to respond to issues surrounding the current state of football in the country.
“If I hire a coach for Ghana, and that coach expects me to select players for him, that coach will be fired the next day because that is not the kind of coach we want to work with.
Players of the Black Stars are selected by the technical team of the Black Stars led by the current coach, Otto Addo. Simple,” he said to the committee.
Perhaps finally responding to these rumors or allegations will put the minds of many at ease or not.
