Multiple award-winning rapper Black Sherif has set Ghana’s name on the map once again as he is projected as the winner of the Best International Flow award at this year’s BET Hiphop Awards, which will be officially held on Tuesday, October 10.
The projection was leaked through snippets of a pre-recorded video of the rapper receiving his award on stage in the United States.
This leaked amateur video was from the show’s taping at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center in Atlanta, Georgia.
Black Sherif beat stiff competition from South Africa’s Aka and K.O., the UK’s Central Cee and J Hus, France’s Gazo and Ninho, Zambia’s Sampa the Great, Brazil’s Major Rd, and Tasha & Tracie.
This is the second time Black Sherif was nominated for the prestigious awards scheme after losing out to France’s Benjamin Epps last year.
He was the only Ghanaian artist nominated for the 2023 BET Hip-Hop Awards, and fans have already started to celebrate his success.
