Asante Kotoko have announced the departure of Seydou Zerbo as head coach

Asante Kotoko SC announced the dismissal of head coach Seydou Zerbo this morning following their home loss to Medeama SC in the betPawa Premier League on Sunday night.

The Burkinabe coach replaced Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum as head coach in August 2021, after the former WAFA coach clinched the premiership last season.

The Porcupine Warriors suffered their first home defeat in the league this season after losing to a 2-0 to the Yellow and Mauves.

The club sit in the 7th position on the league standings after 22 games. The former Burkina Faso national team coach managed 10 wins, 6 draws, and 7 losses for the Porcupin Warriors.

Assistant coach Abdul Gazale has been tasked charge of the team on the interim until a substantive one is appointed.
