Renowned Music Producer Appiah Dankwah, popularly known as Appietus has revealed that Daddy Lumba was a musician who quickly adapted to changes during music composition.
According to him, working with Daddy Lumba was so flexible and did not waste time on producing the 14 hits that they composed together.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Max Morning Show in Accra on Monday, the sound engineer indicated that he was a person who was always under the look out for hit songs, thus he always changed rhythm.
”If you’re working with me, I change the rhythm so if I get anyone who can write fast and adapt to the changes, it makes my work easier because I am always looking for a hit. Daddy Lumba was a guy who could easily adopt. Though, he was difficult initially but after two to three songs with me, I won his trust,” he stated.
Appietus commended the late Daddy Lumba’s unique talent, stressing that the industry had lost a gem.
”As a composer and music producer, you’re always looking for somebody who can easily write and Daddy Lumba was one great guy who can do that. Daddy Lumba is a good musician, good singer, good writer and good composer,” he eulogized.
