Actress Priscilla Opoku Agyemang known popularly as Ahoufe Patri has disclosed that she lost a movie role because she did not give in to a producer’s sexual demands.
According to her, she was 19 years old when that incident happened, and never knew there would be a day for her to blow in the industry.
Speaking in an interview on Max TV’s flagship entertainment program e-Quick in Accra last Friday, Ahoufe Patri stated that she did not regret her decision.
”Yeah and that is everywhere but before Ahoufe Patri started, I was young, about 19. I met a producer who of course liked what I had to offer but he insisted on getting to know me the other way,” she narrated.
Ahoufe Patri stated that she had a boyfriend around that time and she was madly in love with the guy to the extent that she couldn’t bring herself to give in to the producer’s advances.
”So I refused and the producer got mad. I was denied the role but years along the line, the same producer saw me but that time I had a hair cut, and he was like ‘Ei Ahoufe I am such a big fan,'” she said.
In moving forward, Ahoufe Patri emphasized the need to wait and urged the youth to focus on their talents rather than offering themselves on a silver platter to movie producers for roles.
