Aduana Stars CEO Takyi Arhin boasted about his team’s abilities following victories over Accra Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko in back-to-back games.
Aduana Stars eliminated Asante Kotoko by defeating the Porcupine Warriors 1-0 in the Round of 16 of the MTN FA Cup on Sunday, February 26, 2023.
Only one week prior to their FA Cup success, Aduana Stars headed to Accra Sports Stadium and defeated Hearts of Oak 1-0 on matchday 18 of the ongoing 2022/2023 Ghana Premier League (GPL) .
Regarding his team’s recent good form, Takyi Arhin stated that Aduana Stars have proven they are ready to compete and will win a double at the conclusion of the current season.
“We’ve beaten Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak, the rest have no way through us so they should forget it. When we clinch the league title with the FA Cup, whoever team we face in the FA Cup final will go to Africa if they can.
“But we are going for the double this season, no team can stop us,” Takyi Arhin said.
With 28 points each, Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak are now ranked third and fourth in the Ghana Premier League. With 35 points, Aduana Stars are presently in first place.
