The 2001-year group of one of the oldest and most prestigious schools in Ghana, Adisadel College (ADISCO), launched the project of remodeling the T.J. Drury Gymnasium close to the Cantebury house on the campus ahead of their 25th anniversary in 2026.
The event came off at the Nathan Anan Quao Auditorium of CLOGSAG on Saturday, November 16, 2024, and was dubbed “Agenda 26; It is doable” by the Executive Director of the Adisadel Old Boys Association (AOBA), Seth Dzordzorme.
Sam Biney, an executive of the 2001-year group also known as the “2G1” committee, shared that the cost of the monumental project amounts up to $200,000 and would be handed over to the school on Speech Day 2026.
Lawyer Bernard Agortey, the group’s vice president, echoed president Jerry Lawson’s (of 2G1) request for the group to collaborate on the project by urging his fellow members to channel the “Adisadel Spirit” in order to realize this dream.
Despite acknowledging the perilous state the country’s economy is in, Lawyer Agortey believes the multipurpose gymnasium may be completed by December 2025 should members pay their contributions.
A number of the 2001-year group of Mfantsiman Senior High School were present at the event, supporting their “boys school” as they embarked on this challenging task.
