Accra Lions and Aduana FC put up a goal-scoring festival at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday, May 18, 2025.
The two sides battled for the maximum points in the first of encounter of matchweek 31 of the 2024-25 Ghana Premier League.
Nigerian player, Lucky Nwafor, and Emmanuel Peprah, both bagged a brace for Accra Lions and Aduana FC respectively.
Musah Hamzata got the ball rolling for the young Lions team in the 14th minute before Nwafor scored the first of his double minutes as half-time neared.
Tahiru Salman extended the home team’s lead in the 35th minute, then Nwafor completed his brace in the stoppage time of the first half.
Emmanuel Peprah and Emmanuel Marfo’s late resurgence proved to be a little too late for Aduana, as Faris Tahiru had already stretched Lions’ lead to hand them a fighting chance of surviving relegation.
