Arsenal have sensationally crashed out of the EFL Cup fourth round against League Two side Fleetwood Town.

The match at Highbury Stadium finished 1-1 after 90 minutes, before the fourth-tier hosts completed a huge upset by winning the penalty shootout 5-3.

Despite dominating possession and creating far more attempts, Arteta’s team failed to find a second goal.

The closing stages became even more difficult for the Gunners when 16-year-old Max Dowman was shown a straight red card following an off-the-ball incident.
