The search for the next Black Stars coach may have reached its conclusion as Carlos Queiroz is expected to extend his stay as Ghana head coach.
Multiple reports have revealed that Carlos Queiroz will remain in charge and prepare the squad for the 2027 AFCON qualifiers.
An official announcement is still pending, however, as GFA president Kurt Okraku has not publicly identified the selected coach.
Revealing to 3Sports, Okraku said the appointment was “99% in place” and that the incoming coach was already working.
Queiroz initially joined Ghana on a four-month contract before the 2026 World Cup.
He guided the country into the knockout stage for the first time since 2010, before a 1-0 Round-of-32 defeat by Colombia.
