Black Stars of Ghana winger Kamaldeen Sulemana is set to be out of action for several weeks.
The Ghanaian international has suffered a grade two medial collateral ligament (MCL) injury in his left knee during Atalanta’s 3-0 win over Schalke 04.
Medical tests performed after the match confirmed the severity of the injury, and the forward is expected to be sidelined for between two and three months.
Sulemana picked up the injury just minutes after coming on in the 46th minute, twisting his knee.
The Atalanta star tried to continue but ultimately had to be substituted in the 62nd minute. This setback comes as the winger was building his fitness with Atalanta ahead of the 2026-2027 season.
