Former Hearts of Oak head coach Aboubakar Ouattara has warned the Ivory Coast against complacency at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Ivory Coast is heading to the World Cup with a barrel load of confidence after stunning France in a friendly game.
Led by the most-sought-after, hottest winger in Europe, Yan Diomande, the Elephants are placed in a group against Germany, Ecuador, and Curacao.
The 2024 AFCON winners are favourites alongside former world champions Germany to progress from Group E.
“Ivory Coast must not think because they defeated France that they will be overconfident in the World Cup,” said Ivorian-born Ouattara.
