Medeama SC has positioned itself as the frontrunners for the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League title.
In what appears to be the title decider against the closest contender and defending champions Bibiani GoldStars, Medeama produced a stunning team effort for a 2-0 win.
Godwin Dzapkasu, Manuel Mantey, and star boy Salim Adams ran the show with a superb midfield display that left Max TV viewers in awe.
Salim Adams handed the home side the lead in the 20th minute from the penalty spot after Goldstars defender Bernard Kesse was adjudged to have blocked Kelvin Obeng’s attempt at goal with an outstretched left arm.
Adams increased his Medeama’s lead with a beautiful curler from a first-half stoppage-time free kick, scoring his 13th goal of the season.
The much-criticised Ibrahim Tanko has now been able to weather the storm which saw them losing their top spot before a massive comeback.
Eager to get back among Africa’s elite in the CAF Champions League, Medeama have now opened a five-point gap between themselves and GoldStars.
