In a video sighted online (Jamestown TV), Sempe Mantse, Nii Adote Otintor II, has strongly rejected claims of eyeing the Sowutuom/Omanjor lands.
Doubling as the “Mankralo” of the Ga State, Nii Adote Otintor II summoned both sides in the Homowo conflict of August 2025 over land boundaries, which ended the lives of three people.
The three deceased people are Abubakar Ramadan Sarbah, aka Nii Kwashiebu; Theophilus Nii Amu Kwadjan; and Joseph Shaibu Dodoo. Four others sustained injuries in the clash.
The purpose of the meeting was to ensure peaceful Homowo celebrations in the Sowutuom and Omanjor communities, according to the Mankralo.
However, concerned about the response of the ‘Abola Piam We’ kingmakers of the Omanjor, they vehemently denied being invited for any meeting whatsoever by the Mankralo.
“I am being called a liar, but I want to let everyone know that what I said is the truth… I want to assure all that I have no interest in the lands of Sowutuom and Omanjor,” said Sempe Mantse Nii Adote Otintor II.
