‎I faked relationship with Fred Amugi for fame— Akuapem Poloo

Date:

Socialite Rosemond Brown, known widely as Akuapem Poloo, has disclosed that she faked a relationship with legendary actors like Fred Amugi and Prince Yawson, also called Waakye, just to gain fame.

According to her, the idea was created by a blogger identified as Those Called Celebs to promote her in gaining attention.

Akuapem Poloo revealed this in an exclusive interview with e-Quick in Accra on Tuesday, February 10, during the one-year anniversary celebration of the entertainment show on Max TV.

“Yes, I was desperate for fame because I wanted to feed my son. I wanted to ensure my son lives well, so I didn’t care who I was stepping on. At that time, my focus was on gaining attention, and it worked. I hit the limelight,” she added.

Akuapem Poloo stated that she had been in the industry since 2009, shooting the “Obra” drama and other teleseries, as well as being a video vixen, yet she was not known.

She later contacted Those called celebs find means to make her hit the limelight, and as part of her quest, the blogger came up with a plan to use negativity to promote her, and she gladly accepted.

That, she said, made her trend from 2018 to 2023, landing her ambassadorial deals, movie roles and hosting award shows and programmes which she was well paid for.
