Cameroon and Gabon will face off on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. GMT in the opening match of Group F at the 2025 AFCON.

Just weeks before the start of AFCON, Cameroon has made a managerial change. Marc Brys was dismissed and replaced by David Pagou. The new boss has opted to leave out Vincent Aboubacar (45 goals in 117 caps) and André Onana (53 caps).

Anguissa and Choupo-Moting are both injured and won’t be making the trip to Morocco with the Indomitable Lions either.

On the Gabonese side, they’ll also have to do without Aubameyang for their opening match of this AFCON. He’s sidelined with an injury, but is expected to return for the second group game.
