Former first Lady of the Republic of Ghana, Her Excellency Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings has passed on.

She was 76.

The former first Lady died at the Ridge Hospital on Thursday, October 23, after a brief illness.

Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings was the founder and president of the 31st December Movement.

Her last public sighting was at the final funeral rites of the late Asantehemaa Nana Konadu Yiadom III in September 2025.

She was married to one of Ghana’s most iconic state leaders, the late Flt. Lt Jerry John Rawlings.

She leaves behind four children—Hon. Dr Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings (MP for Korle Klottey), Yaa Asantewaa Agyeman-Rawlings, Amina Agyeman-Rawlings, and Kimathi
