2026 FIFA WCQ: Ghana Close to Dreamland After 5-Star Win

Date:

The Black Stars of Ghana are close to sealing their spot at the 2026 FIFA World Cup to be jointly hosted by the USA, Canada, and Mexico.

A 0-5 away commanding victory over the Central African Republic in Meknès, Morocco, sees Ghana most likely to make her fifth FIFA World Cup appearance.

Clément Couturier and Raheriniaina’s goals for Madagascar against Comoros moves them into second place, three points behind Ghana in Group I of the African qualifiers.

With Ghana’s ambassador to Morocco, Her Excellency Mrs Charity Gbedawo, in the stands, cheering on her motherland, Mohammed Salisu, Thomas Partey, Alexander Djiku, Jordan Ayew, and Kamaldeen Sulemana scored in a game some had feared would be tricky.

The whole of Ghana would be turned into a carnival atmosphere should the Black Stars seal their place at the next World Cup.
