Ghana must sue President John Dramani Mahama and his government for manslaughter, the president of the Concerned Farmers Association of Ghana (CFAG), Nana Oboadie Boateng Bonsu II, has said.
According to him, it is the responsibility of the government to ensure the citizenry has access to potable water, a healthy and safer environment, and uncontaminated air to breathe.
Nana Oboadie made this known during an exclusive phone interview with Max Morning Dew in Accra on Wednesday.
“We must sue the Ghana government for manslaughter because it’s the responsibility of the government to ensure the people drink potable water,” he said.
Nana Oboadie lamented that the state agencies like the Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources (MSWR) and the Ministry of Environment, Science, and Technology had failed in their job to preserve the environment, which had led to climate change affecting the country’s agricultural lands and water bodies.
“They don’t care. All they care about is driving luxurious cars to milk the country, and I am saying it again that they don’t care about Ghana so gradually Ghana is becoming the most useless country all because leadership has failed to do what is right,” he bemoaned.
Nana Oboadie called for the ministers responsible for sanitation and environment to be sacked for not enforcing stringent laws and also educating the citizenry on the need to preserve the environment.
