In a move to deal with examination malpractice, an invigilator was said to have been expelled by the Ghana Education Service (GES) for possessing solved English oral questions.
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) voiced its support for the GES’ bold decision, urging the dismissal of any examination official involved in malpractices.
The Head of National Office (HNO) of WAEC, Dr Rosemond Wilson, affirmed her body’s position on the move in order to prevent students from ruining their future.
“Yes, we back it so that it would deter others from engaging in such practice because it goes all the way to ruin the future of the children,” she said during her visit to the Armed Forces SHTS, the Sakyi Asare-Menako Hall, and Accra High School.
Dr Wilson hopes for a smooth continuation of the ongoing 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination to its end on September 19.
