Military Helicopter Crash: Burial Itinerary of Alhaji Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed

The family of the late Hon. Alhaji Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed has announced the itinerary of his burial per Islamic customs.

On Wednesday, August 6, 2025, the Tamale Central MP died in a horrific military helicopter crash in the Ashanti Region along with the Minister for Defence, Dr Omane Boamah, two former ministers, and two Ghana Air Force officers.

Mourners are expected to converge at the Anbariya Islamic Institute, Nyanshegu, in Tamale at 10 am for Janaza prayer, thence to the Zujung cemetery for burial.

The bodies, including Hon. Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, touched down at the Ghana Air Force base on Thursday midnight.
