The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA), on Sunday, August 3, 2025, ordered the suspension of the production of Tasty Tom Tomato Mix by Nutrifoods Ghana Limited.
In an official statement by the FDA, the order for suspension was due to health and safety violations at Nutrifoods Ghana Limited.
The directive follows an earlier directive for the recall of specific batches of the products in 380 g and 1.05 kg pouches and all canned Tasty Tom Enriched Tomato Mix products.
A surprise visit to the facility following complaints from consumers shocked the FDA investigative team to the core.
