Efforts are underway to isolate Okomfour Kwadee so he does not relapse after progress in his recovery, Ohemaa Woyeje has said.
According to her, the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) had set aside some funds to rent an isolated apartment for Kwadee in order for people not to access him at the moment.
Speaking in a recent media interview, Ohemaa Woyeje stated that Kwadee’s long-term wellbeing depended on finding a safe and supportive environment which would help him avoid relapse.
His mother even called me to ask me if there is any place he can stay so that he won’t go back to the drugs anymore,” she shared.
Ohemaa Woyeje stated that living arrangements that would limit outside influence, especially from individuals who might reintroduce the artist to substance abuse, had been made.
His mother is in Accra right now. I spoke to the MUSIGA president, and the funds Kwadee received are with him. So we are looking for a place that can accommodate him. A place where people won’t get access to him. And influencing him into doing drugs again,” she added.
