The former general manager of embattled Ghanaian club Nsoatreman FC, Eric Alagidede, revealed his dissatisfaction at the Black Stars performance in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Chad.
The Black Stars took on the Sao in their fifth match of the African qualifiers for the World Cup at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, March 21, 2025.
Despite the 5-0 hammering of Chad by Ghana, Alagidede shared how unimpressed he was about the home team’s overall performance with Max FM’s Nana Darkwa Gyasi after the match.
“Generally not too impressed with the style of play, but what mattered most, we put five goals into the net. We just have to go out there to win the next game against Madagascar to put us in a pole position,” Alagidede said.
Alagidede suggested changes needed to be made regardless of the gargantuan scoreline ahead of Madagascar, a team different from Chad, as Ernest Nuamah, Mohammed Kudus, and Thomas Partey certainly didn’t impress him.
Next for the Black Stars is a trip to Casablanca to take on Madagascar at the Al Hoceima Grand Stadium at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 24.
