The Director General of the National Sports Authority (NSA), Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, has vowed the Accra Sports Stadium would be ready for Ghana’s game against Chad on Friday.
Mr. Ankrah and the Sports Minister, Hon. Kofi Adams, have since Thursday, March 13, been touring the national facility to find out what parts needed to be fixed ahead of the game.
The NSA boss’ role in the Black Stars success at home games is extremely crucial. Being a sports person, Mr. Ankrah understands the relevance of providing the best conditions for the Black Stars to thrive at the home venue, be it Accra, Kumasi, or Cape Coast.
“My instruction is very clear. It is to make everything is ready for the Black Stars against Chad on Friday,” he said in an interview with Max FM’s Nana Darkwa Gyasi at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday, March 17.
He further assured fans and visitors would be impressed by the works done so far for their comfort as they cheer on the Black Stars to victory.
“We are working around the clock to ensure that what is expected and what would make them comfortable would be done,” the BBC-trained journalist said.
Mr. Ankrah is determined to ensure that all national sports facilities are up to standard under the guidance and with the support of Hon. Kofi Adams.
