JUST IN: Nsoatreman FC Withdraws from 2024/2025 Ghana Premier League

Date:

Nsoatreman FC has officially withdrawn from the ongoing 2024/2025 Ghana Premier League, citing serious concerns over the safety and security of their players.

In a letter addressed to the Ghana Football Association (GFA), the club expressed its decision to pull out of the league and all GFA-organized competitions due to recent incidents involving their matches against Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Samartex FC.

According to the club, they had already lodged formal complaints regarding these incidents but have now been left with no choice but to prioritize player welfare by stepping away from the competition.

“We can no longer guarantee the safety of our players,” the letter stated, emphasizing that the management and board of directors made the difficult decision in the best interest of the team.

The withdrawal of Nsoatreman FC is expected to send shockwaves through the Ghanaian football community, raising concerns about security measures in the league. The club also apologized for any inconveniences caused and expressed gratitude for the cooperation of the GFA.

The GFA is yet to respond to the development, but this decision could have significant implications for the league’s organization and credibility. Stay tuned for updates.
