We will respond to GFA charge – Opare Addo

Date:

The Public Relations Officer of Accra Hearts of Oak, Kwame Opare Addo, has assured his outfit is ready to respond to charges by the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

Following their deserving 2-0 victory over Young Apostles on Saturday, March 8, 2025, the GFA announced a charge against Hearts of Oak for breaches of Article 8(e) of the GFA Enhanced Matchday Safety and Security Protocols and Article 34(6)(d).

According to the GFA, unaccredited persons, including specifically supporters of the club, were allowed into the Safe Zone at the University of Ghana Stadium to celebrate.

Confident about getting the charges lifted, Opare Addo insisted on the Sports Pack show on Max FM that they are ready to respond to the GFA.

“Once a law-abiding institution queries you, you would have to respond with facts and upgrades and make sure that your response is the truth.”

He questioned the whereabouts of the police officers stationed at the Safety Zone after the club’s Safety and Security Officer had concluded his checks of the restricted zone.
