Highlife singer, Sista Afia, has expressed the need for musicians to stay united in promoting authentic Ghanaian music.
That, she said, will help the local music to reach the masses while breaking boundaries and borders.
Speaking in a recent media interview, the “Jeje” singer noted that the division in the industry was crippling the growth of the Ghanaian music.
Thus, he expressed the need for artists to unite and work towards promoting Ghanaian music on the world music scene.
She also urged musicians to be mindful of their lyrics, stressing that music should have a good influence on the community in addition to being recorded in the studio.
Over the years, the well-known female artist and founder of the Sista Cooks Foundation has provided food for thousands of mothers and children in need throughout the nation.
She is credited for popular songs, including “Asuoden,” “Weather,” “2 Things,” and “Carry Go,” among many others, and has featured various renowned artists.
