FIRE!: Ex-Hearts Captain Kwabena Boafo’s Car Burst Into Flames

Date:

Former Hearts of Oak captain Kwabena Boafo’s Mercedes Benz C180 was tragically destroyed by fire last week in a shocking incident on the Kasoa-Mallam Highway. The unexpected blaze left the former footballer shaken but thankfully unharmed.

Eyewitnesses described how the vehicle suddenly burst into flames, reportedly due to an electrical fault. Boafo recounted the frightening moments leading up to the disaster. “I noticed smoke coming from the bonnet while driving,” he shared with Max Sports. “Before I could react or pull over safely, the entire car was engulfed in flames. It was terrifying, and I couldn’t believe what was happening.”

The incident has left Boafo mourning the loss of a cherished vehicle he had owned and driven for years. However, despite the devastating loss, he expressed deep gratitude for his safety. “The car can be replaced, but my life is priceless. I’m just thankful to have walked away unhurt,” he added, his relief evident.

News of the fire has sparked an outpouring of concern and support from the Ghanaian football community. Many former teammates, fans, and colleagues have reached out to Boafo, expressing their relief that he escaped unharmed. His reputation as a dedicated and accomplished player during his time with Hearts of Oak has made him a beloved figure in Ghanaian football.

Kwabena Boafo’s career is remembered fondly by supporters of Hearts of Oak, where he captained the team to multiple league titles and earned individual accolades. Since retiring from professional football, he has remained active in football-related initiatives, cementing his legacy as a respected icon in the sport.

Although the fire completely destroyed his Mercedes Benz, Boafo is focused on the future. “Material things can come and go, but life is irreplaceable. I’ll move on and get another car, but for now, I’m just grateful to be alive,” he said with a hopeful smile.
