Amad Diallo rescues Man Utd, Sulemana shines

Date:

Amad Diallo’s last two goals may have been given to him on a silver platter, but make no mistake to think it was not deserved.

It can confidently be said that Southampton are more likely to head back to the English Football League Championship.

The Saints put up a spirited performance at Old Trafford, with Manuel Ugarte seeming to be help their cause by scoring an own goal for them just before halftime.

Ghanaian international Kamaldeen Sulemana proved to be a tough opponent for Manchester United defender Lenny Yoro, winning most of their one-on-ones.

Everyone, including fans of Manchester United, must have given up, but Ivorian star Amad Diallo had other ideas.

An intelligent equalizer in the 82nd minute, an Aaron Ramsdale poor goalkeeping attempt, and a defensive disasterclass saw Diallo leaving Old Trafford with the match ball.

“[It is] maybe one of the best weeks in my life,” Diallo told TNT after the game.
