Ghanaian international Michael Baidoo is set to join English Football Championship side Plymouth Argyle.
Baidoo’s decision to join Plymouth, who are rock-bottom in the Championship table, may come as a surprise to many.
He made his maiden appearance for the Black Stars in November 2024 during the last two phases of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers after impressing in the UEFA Europa League.
Baidoo was spotted in the stands with his representatives watching Plymouth’s 2-2 draw with Bristol City.
Another Ghanaian close to making a move in the winter transfer window is Antoine Semenyo.
He is believed to be a top target for Premier League leaders Liverpool and a host of other top European clubs.
Bred in the United Kingdom, Semenyo is more inclines to a stay in England, making it unlikely to transfer outside the country.
