GPL Boxing Day: Lions look to extend lead, as struggling Cities aim at a move up

Date:

The Boxing Day fixtures of this season’s Ghana Premier League (GPL) are scheduled to come off at 3 p.m. as the six clubs in action look to better their positions on the league standings.

Legon Cities will be looking to claw their way out of the bottom of the 2024-25 Ghana Premier League when they take on Aduana FC at the University of Ghana Stadium in one of the 3 p.m. kickoffs on Boxing Day.

Basake Holy Stars have so far rendered a good account of themselves in their maiden top-flight campaign. Sat ninth on the league table, the newbies will welcome Bechem United at Crosby Awuah Memorial (CAM) Park.

Though level on points with closest contenders Bibiani Gold Stars, Heart of Lions will aim at extending their lead at the summit of the table when Young Apostles take them on in Kpando.
