Bisa Kdei, Ghana’s sensational highlife singer, has disclosed that he would only consider endorsing a political party if the financial gain is huge to curtail all insults and criticism.
According to him, the money should be inspirational enough to make up for the backlash he would suffer out of his endorsement.
Bisa Kdei made this known in a recent interview where he said he would only make a decision to compose a song or publicly support a political party that would hinge on the benefits and money it could bring him.
“If somebody gives me something huge that could help me in such a way that even if people get annoyed at me, I wouldn’t mind, then why not?”
“But if it’s chicken-change and I end up losing fans, then no,” he stated.
The “Madanfo” crooner also explained that celebrity political endorsement was not out of political beliefs but from the financial benefits from that endorsement and urged Ghanaians to understand those celebrities.
“There’s something we need to understand when it comes to creativity: it is a feeling; it’s just an act. So the fans shouldn’t take things too seriously,” he said.
