The illustrious career of the British tennis icon, Andy Murray, comes to an end with a doubles defeat to American pair Taylor Fritz and Tommy Paul in the quarterfinals of the men’s doubles at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
Murray and his partner, Dan Evans, were well dominated by the Americans, who advanced to the semifinals with a score of 6-2, 6-4.
A trophy-laden career spanning two decades of the Scotland star, Murray, met a disappointing ending on the Court Suzanne-Lenglen as spectators witnessed a defensive masterclass that was not enough to stop Fritz and Paul.
The Americans will play world No. 3 doubles players Matt Ebden and John Peers for a spot in the final for gold.
